Description:
The terrace at the Can Vinyolas building, which is part of the Moli Fondo paper mill complex, had heavily damaged or completely missing tiles. The project focused on reconstructing the terrace using historically correspondent materials such as ceramic rustic tiles and respecting the hatch pattern, and color of the original tiles.
The presence of the international group of participants and the conservation interventions raised awareness amongst the local community about the importance of their industrial heritage while facilitating the building’s recovery as an important social space for the people of Sant Joan les Fonts.
